Photographs, finished as paintings.
You bought the television. You pay for the things that play on it. And most of the day it is a black rectangle on the wall.
Give it something to do.No special TV needed. If your TV can show a photo, it can show these. They look best on a 4K TV.

Below are some examples of what my framed pictures would look like in real room settings.

A road under a roof of orange
Fall Fork In The Road, in its frame, with an engraved name plate beneath. The picture is the same one you download.

Framed or edge to edge
Into the Sun, framed, as it hangs here. You also get it plain, edge to edge, for a clean screen. Change your mind whenever you like.
From the Sunset collection

Signed, with a certificate
Williamsburg In The Fall. Every picture carries my signature and comes with its own certificate of authenticity.

Made from my own photographs
One Wave, Late. Each one began as a picture I took, and I finished it myself as a digital oil painting.

The rooms are for show. What you buy is the pictures: nine in each collection, framed and plain, ready for your TV.

The free picture is the real thingWhat you see here is a small preview. The picture you download is the full 4K original, 3840 × 2160, exactly what comes in a paid bundle: plain, and framed (a frame painted around the picture, so it looks like a framed painting on any TV), with a signed certificate and easy steps for your TV.

These are picture files. They work on any TV that can show your own photos — from a USB stick, a phone app, or a streaming stick. They look just as good on a computer, a tablet or a digital frame.
- Samsung, including The Frame — the Art menu in SmartThings, or a USB stick
- LG — Always Ready or Gallery
- Sony, TCL, Hisense — a Google Photos album as the screensaver
- Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV — their own photo apps
- Any TV with a USB port
Not sure about yours? Email me before you buy and I’ll tell you honestly.
Every picture comes twice
Plain for your screen, and framed — a real molding, a mat chosen from the picture’s own colors, and a name plate. Both are yours. Nothing ships; it all arrives as a download.

Nine frames, and more coming
Every frame is built for its picture — the molding chosen, the mat color taken from the art itself, an engraved plate with the title. Not a border dropped on top.

Early peeks at new work, and a founder’s discount on future specials and purchases.
The occasional picture from me, as a gift. And more I can’t tell you about just yet.
Coming next
Framed and waiting. Winter opens on Black Friday, with more to follow. Leave your email below and you’ll know the day each one goes up.

I grew up in a family that could never leave a blank surface alone. My father designed automobiles and drew cartoons, and my brothers and sisters draw, design and photograph. I took pictures for the love of it, and I have always believed the eye matters more than the camera. The proof for me: 120 of my pictures are on ViewBug, where they ranked in the top 10% most viewed among 4.5 million photographers in over forty countries.
Over the years I have taken more than 400,000 photographs. I went back through them and chose the ones worth finishing, many of which no one had ever seen. Now each one becomes a digitally rendered painting, shaped by my own eye, and nothing goes out until I have studied it and approved it myself.
DARB55 is home to a growing collection of that work, made for the TV on your wall.
Come on in, take a break, and look around. I hope you enjoy them.

What it costs, put another way
A framed 20×24 reproduction print — not an original, a reproduction — runs about $76 at a local home design store. One picture, one wall, one frame you cannot change.
For about the same money you get nine original paintings, made from my photographs, each one finished by me, each one framed as well as plain, each with a signed certificate. On a screen you already own, and you can change which one is hanging whenever you like.
